This listing is an original woodblock print.

Block printing by hand is a slow process! After drawing my design, the image is carved into wood using chisels and gouges. Once the carving is complete, ink is rolled onto the surface of the block. Next, paper is placed on top of the block, and I use a hand tool to apply pressure, forcing the ink onto the paper. The result is the reverse image printed on paper. 

This print consists of five different blocks that were layered to create the final image.

“divers cove, night” is a small edition of 12 prints and will arrive to you signed and numbered under the image.

The print is packaged with archival backing board and fits into a standard 8x8” frame. There is a border around the image so it can be easily framed to your liking.
