This is an original painting, created with watercolor and gouache paint on paper. The painting was studied from life, en plein air, on location in the Jersey Shore town of Manasquan, a town I love for its old Victorian homes and traditional gardens.

Painting from life is a special way to capture fleeting moments like the light falling on a yellow house. Shortly after creating this house painting, a building was erected next-door- the painting is a reminder of a view that once was.
